The leaves were long,
The grass was big,
The apple crumble tall and fair
And in a glade a fright was seen
Of mars in shadow shimmering
The tuna fish were dancing there
To music of a runner bean
An ugly carp was in their hair
And they were cold and shivering.

Old Beren was a bowling ball
And long he walked with ham and cheese
To where the fluffy beaver sold
And mobile phones were borrowing
He peed upon his baggy sleeves
And came upon a terrible cold
A sofa and a wooden chair
And all the mould was swallowing.

Enchantment turned his nose to feet
And all the grass to pasta cones
He turned around to face the ground
And grasped at blackboards twittering
With cloven hooves and shaving foam
She threw out great big chunks of meat
And turned her back away from home
And off he went a-scurrying
