My Oh My-Eowyn and Faramir

The morning was bright as the sun gently caressed the white towers of Gondor, and warmed its very soul. The city was bustling with people this morning. It seemed so alive to anyone who watched. And there was one who was watching, with the same energy that Gondor had on this very morning.

A handsome young man looked out his window and observed all that was going on below. She practically ate up the energy from the city below. He too was in a good mood today. Today was the day where he would admit his love to the beautiful shield maiden from Rohan.

Faramir quickly dressed himself as he heard his father call for him. Eowyn would be here any moment now and he wanted to impress her. He quickly ran a brush through his hair, and but on his best clothing, which consisted of his favorite green cloak, and his brown leather armor with the silver tree.

He ran to the door as he heard her sweet voice come from below. He dashed down the stairs to meet his beautiful bride. There was no one in the main hall, except for Eowyn. To his dismay it looked as if she was about to leave. He couldn’t let her. He needed her by him.

“My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To Have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why? My oh my, do you wanna sat good bye? To rule the county, baby, you and I? If you were my king….” Faramir sang softly to the woman he loved.

Eowyn turned her head to him, her blond hair glistening in the morning sunlight. She looked at the man…..er…..boy…er…person…that everyone wanted her to marry. She couldn’t decide whether she wanted a life with Faramir or not.

“My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why? My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To rule the Country, baby, you and I?” Faramir sang, taking Eowyn’s gloved hands in his own and begging her to stay.

Eowyn let her hands linger in Faramir’s then removed them quickly. Why was he doing this to her? He was ripping her heart apart. Half of her wanted to stay here and look after Faramir, and protect him, while the other wanted her other life…..

“Little princess in a terrible mess,” Faramir put his hand oh Eowyn’s shoulder when she turned away from him. “A kingdom alone, but no love to confess!” He pulled the only woman he would ever love, outside into the blinding sunlight, so she could see what could be hers. “Dreams of a prince on a tall white horse, Runs like a spirit by the castle walls!” Faramir got that far away and dreamy look in his eyes as he brought his hands up to his chest and laid them gently below his throat.

Eowyn couldn’t take any more of this. She decided she needed her freedom more than Faramir. “Gotta steal from the rich when they don’t know I’m comin’!” Eowyn stormed back inside with googly-eyed Faramir trailing behind her sadly. “Gotta give to the poor, no time for lovin’!” she sang clearly, and surprisingly deeply. “My oh my, don’t you cry, ’cause there’s no way I’m stayin’
I will leave, say bye bye, I’m going my way…!” Eowyn tried to flee from Faramir. She hated hurting him like this, but there was no other way.

“My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why? My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To rule the Country, baby, you and I?” Faramir grabbed Eowyn’s wrist and spun her to him. He gently wrapped his arms around her and buried his face in her sweet smelling hair. “If you were my King, I would be your queen…If you were my king, I would be your queen…” came Faramir’s muffled voice to Eowyn’s ears.

Eowyn struggled in Faramir’s arms, until he let her go. She turned on him with anger in her eyes. It pained her to see a stabbing pain in his heart.

“Mystery deep in the royal heart. Crying at night, I wanna be apart! Prince, oh prince, are you really sincere? Bet you one day you’re gonna disappear!” Faramir answered Eowyn’s raging eyes. It was the only way he knew how. He couldn’t hate Eowyn for all the pain she made him feel, he couldn’t even be angry at her. He just wanted one kiss, that was all he needed from her right now.

“Gotta steal from the rich when they don’t know I’m comin’!” Eowyn raged and pulled her eyes away from Faramir. She couldn’t stand looking at him. “Gotta give to the poor, no time for lovin’!” Eowyn trembled at the thought of loving Faramir. “My oh my, don’t you cry, ’cause there’s no way I’m stayin’! I will leave, say bye bye, I’m going my way…” she said, more softly. Eowyn turned from Faramir and began to gather her things. She was determined to leave, determined to be free, and not trapped in a castle. She wouldn’t give into Faramir no matter how persuasive he could be.

“My oh my….oh…” Faramir pulled Eowyn close and kissed her. It was a kiss of passion and it was filled with all the love Faramir had for Eowyn, but at the same time is was a kiss of death for this kiss would surely be the death of Eowyn’s freedom. “My oh my….oh…” Faramir said as Eowyn began to cling to him.

She was lost and confused and clasped he arms to Faramir like a scared child. She felt like one now. She wanted to stay, but knew what it would meant. Tears started to stream down her face, and she wept as if she had never done so before.

“My oh my…oh…” Faramir gently whispered into her ear. He knew he had won her over. He had claimed her heart and she gave in.

Just then Eowyn tore herself away from Faramir still crying. Her eyes were red and swollen from the tears she had shed. She looked at Faramir with death in her eyes.

Faramir stood there in shock. Surely he had won, surely she would stay. “MY OH MY!” Faramir bellowed in rage and sadness. His face turned red, then purple as he ran out of breath.

A thud echoed off the walls of the main room where Eowyn stood. She looked back at Faramir to find that he was no longer there. She breathed a sigh of relief and started to leave, but she was trampled withe servants. When she looked behind her to see what all the commotion was she was surprised to find Faramir lying on the floor as if he were sleeping. He had fainted from lack of oxygen to the brain and his squire along with other staff were trying to revive him.

“My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye?” Faramir groaned as he was revived. “To have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why?” He rose up to face her again, his face void of all emotions. “My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye?” His cold monotone voice sent chills through Eowyn’s spine.
“To rule the Country, baby, you and I?”

Eowyn turned to leave, but Faramir grabbed her by the shoulder. He had fires of rage from rejection in his eyes. She couldn’t see it but she could feel it.

“My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye? To have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why?” Farmir began to shake her with all the fury he had buried in him. “My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye? To rule the Country, baby, you and I?” He shook Eowyn harder.

She felt horrible. He was shaking her to death. When she finally broke free Eowyn stepped back. She rose her hand in defiance. She swiftly brought her hand in contact with Faramir’s cheek. The sound of the slap echoed through the hall they were in. She hoped the crack would bring Faramir back to his senses.

Faramir rubbed his cheek where Eowyn made contact. He could feel the welt in it. His eyes began to well with tears as he stared at Eowyn. He new what he did wrong. “My oh my, do you wanna say goodbye?” He offered in an apology. “To have the Kingdom, baby, tell me why? My oh my, do you wanna say good bye? To rule the Country, baby, you and I?” He snag softly, his voice coaxing Eowyn to trust him again.

Eowyn wouldn’t give in this time. Her will was too strong. She turned around and started to leave.

“If you were my King, I would be your queen…” Faramir said to Eowyn, her stalking figure walking out of his home, and his life.

Eowyn mounted her horse. She never took a look back as she spurred the horse on. She rode into the sunset without a second though. There was some tall dark handsome king waiting for her….she hoped.

“If you were my King, I would be your queen…” Faramir sang to the fleeting figure. He knew he had lost her for good. He turned around and went back into the hall. He stumbled on a stone tile that was sticking out. Not that he was paying any attention. His sorrow was too great. He bumped into someone and almost fell down. Faramir lifted his face and met the most beautiful blue eyes he had ever seen. They belonged to a fair elf maiden. Maybe there was hope for him after all…maybe. He started to chase this elven woman down, with hopes of a proposal in his eyes. There was no hope for him.
