There is no welcome for the
Ring-bearer. Everyone averts
Their eyes. Yet protect him
They do from evil.

No welcome for the exiled king.
Scorned cause he shuns the crown
That should adorn his noble head.
Blamed for the leaderless land

The valiant son of Gondor
Has only love for his land
Defending his people. Feels the
Need to have the power.

There is no welcome for the
Ring-bearer. But his kin will follow
Him to the end. They scatter
About.

One does not scatter, and follows
His master. And when they are
Gone, the fellowship goes on.

Where 9 set out, 2 have fallen
One into shadow. The other with
Arrows sticking wickedly out of him.

Two of the 4 little ones carried away
Three of the fighters left to search for them by
Night and by day.

The ring-bearer and friend, alone,
On their own journey.No knowledge
Of the death that lay behind them.

The exiled king swore to protect
What the son of Gondor could not.
As the dwarf and the elf find they
Can connect. The fellowship is now 3 strong.

No welcome for the ring-bearer
His eyes, red, with tears. Streaming
down his face. Ready to leave
to follow his fate alone.

But, no, wait, a faithful friend,
Who promised him that he
Won’t leave him, follows him
To the end

And out of 9, 7 remain. Three following
To the south. To save the little ones
Carried away.

Yet the ring-bearer and servant
go a seperate way. Which one is stronger?
A question that is answered only with time.

No welcome for the ring-bearer. Yet
he has the fate of the world on his
Shoulders
