Ode to Frodo by frodosluvr
The day grows dimmer
With each darkening hour
And into that darkness
Henceforth I shall go
Into the deep caverns below
I go into that gloom
With a heavy burden around my neck
But every day it becomes heavier
The closer I get
To the end of my journey
Every step is forced
My heart pounds in my chest
As sweat pours down my face
I just want to fall over
And give up the test
The temptation becomes harder
Almost more than I can bare
As it whispers to me softly
In the cold evening air
But I keep moving onward
Toward my goal, to finish my task
When I reach it
There I shall cast it
Into the fire from whence it was made
To save Middle Earth
From many an evil day.

your poems are great! i luv them and i eagerly anticipate the next one!
This is good. I think it really shows how Frodo feels… keep it up!
thanks!! *blushes*
Mae govannon, fellow poet! I’m new here & will likely not post here again. I’m into prose more than poems.
I like getting to see inside Frodo’s head. Good job! See you at the Pub!
