An evil call
I will not fall
Reach
Determined eyes
Fire in the skies
Reach
Have come so far
Pain still lingers
Life hangs on
With blooded fingers
Someone says no
‘Don’t let go’
Reach
Hard to think
Hearts sink
Reach
Have come so far

One last try
‘Don’t die’
Reach
Build up strength
Go to any length

With all I have left
One last breath

He’s been there every day
Every step of the way
And now I reach for him
He believes in me

Travelled so far
Over many lands
Now life has been saved
By loyal hands.

This is very good. The rhythm is completely unique and provactive, like drum beats. Emphasing that one word, the word that would mean so much to one upon the brink of Death, is mesmerizing; perhaps even close to how it sounded to Frodo himself. This poem is well done, in both meaning and rhythm; your friend did a good job! Tell herhe to please keep writing and posting!

Beautiful! I like this moment from RotK, and this is a great reflection on it.
