Roheryn’s hooves thundered on the hard forest floor, as Aragorn clung tightly to his neck. Roheryn hurried toward Rivendell, for while out riding, he and his master were ambushed by wargs, and Aragorn was badly wounded. Roheryn quickened his pace, his strong ebony hooves barely touching the ground. Roheryn’s well-toned muscles rippled under his dark coat, as he raced towards Rivendell.
All of a sudden, a lone warg bounded towards them through the trees. Roheryn knew he had to reach the river near Rivendell before the warg got close. Once at the shore of the river Roheryn slowed to a slow canter trying not to cause further injury to his beloved master incase he should stumble on the rocks. The warg caught up to them and began to cross the river. Roheryn whirled around to face the beast. The warg charged and Roheryn met the creature’s ugly head with his powerful hooves, sending the warg reeling backwards, away from the stallion. The warg charged again, and Roheryn launched himself into attack onto the warg. The stallion used an effort of strength and kicked the warg in the side, shattering a few ribs. The warg battered and bloody, retreated with a threatening snarl. Roheryn turned, discovered his master pulling himself onto the riverbank, and headed towards him.
“Good boy.” Aragorn crooned to his faithful steed, whom lay down so he could climb on. With Aragorn remounted, Roheryn galloped to Rivendell. With much effort, and remaining strength, the stallion galloped at a break neck speed, knowing the elven city was a few miles away. Lenghthening his stride, he sped down the path with all his effort. Slowing down as he reached the steps to Imladris, he let Aragorn fall to the ground, let out a painful whinny, and took a step forward before falling to his knees, and finally collapse.
