Well hi, guys! Glad you’re here!

A/N: This is too long to be a real drabble, but too short to be anything else, so….bleh.

She was standing in the middle of the road. Just standing. Standing and staring into the stark void of darkness that was the tunnel through which the horse had just rocketed past.

“That horse held my entire life,” she would say sadly later. The elven maiden turned slightly, listening for the last sounds of the thundering hooves. At last, no sound was left, save the twittering of the birds, the slight breeze whispering through the trees, and the sound of her own heartbeat, throbbing loudly in her chest.

She continued to stare into the inky darkness of the tunnel, it’s shadowy expanse calling to her in a wistful, almost lonely way. She began walking towards it, but something inside her warned her against it, and she halted. Her eyes wide, she turned back towards her home, Imladris, and began walking resolutely back to her brother who was waiting for her.

He took her hand and said softly, “All will be well, Arwen. Aragorn will return in time.”

Arwen looked up at him sadly, but could find no proper words.
