The Council of Elrond

The Council of Elrond, everyone’s there
Elves, Dwarves, a Hobbit and Men
Everyone’s talking about the ring
And the danger that it will bring.

“The ring must be destroyed”
Said the elf Elrond.
It was silent outside
And then Frodo said:
“I’ll take the ring,
Though I don’t know the way.”
And he felt it inside
That Elrond was right.
Elrond is right.

There’s a dwarf named Gimli son of Gloin
He has an axe and he tried to smash the ring
And if you look close on his brown, curly beard
There are two plats and also a bead.

“He’s very small, but strong”
Said the elf Elrond.
“There is also a man,
And his name’s Boromir
He has a horn
And also a shield
He came from Gondor”
Said the elf Elrond.
The elf Elrond.

There is also a friend, who was left behind
He’s name’s Legolas and it means Greenleaf
He came from Mirkwood and he has keen eyes
The Hobbits came and they gave him a surprise.

“Oi! We are coming too!
We will go with you!”
So the Fellowship formed
And it was called
The Fellowship of the Ring
And they all knew inside
That Elrond was right.
