In the shining wood
Of Rivendell,
An elven maid and a mortal man
Came together.

The dancing maiden
Shone like a star,
That glimmered in
The night sky.

But this mortal man
Fell in love with
This fair maiden
On first site.

And in the forest of Lothlórien,
They met again
On the hill of
Cerin Amroth,
Where they pledged their love.

But all to soon,
War broke loose
And Aragorn rode away.

Not long after,
The war was won
And Aragorn became
King of Gondor.
And in the white city
Of Minas Tirith,
He wedded the
Lady Arwen
On midsummer’s eve.

But soon sadness was to endure,
And the King Elessar died
In early spring,
Holding queen Arwen’s
Hand.

And Arwen, struck will grief,
Left Minas Tirith,
For Lothlórien.
And there she laid herself
To rest on Cerin Amroth,
And their she died.

And so ended the lives
Of Aragorn and Arwen
On Middle-earth.
