The lost Flower

My love for you is like a big flower,
Grand, luscious, full of colour.
Yet fading a little bit every hour.

My love for you is like a river,
Big streams and lapping flows,
Yet now I shake and quiver.

My immortality is slipping away,
My heart grows cold.
But I can still hear your voice,
Screaming and calling for me.
But there’s no hope for you,
So I’ve been told.

I am longing for your touch,
For your arms around me,
Your lips on my mouth.
It’s all getting too much.

The ships are coming and moving to the West,
For me there could be a better life there,
Sparkling and renewed
But I’d rather stay,
For me, out there, there would be no time to rest.

My love is like a flower.
Growing, blossoming,
Yet I yearn.
And I keep waiting
For your return.
