Nine companions leave
Most likely to their doom.
Do you know who they are?
No? Let’s introduce the room.

First there’s Frodo.
A short little guy
Who carries an evil ring
Though he doesn’t know why.

Frodo’s protector is Sam
Another hobbit lad.
Just don’t let him have a pan
When he gets really mad.

Pippin’s comic relief
Trouble maker you might say
But he doesn’t do on purpose,
And always in a cute way.

Merry is the last one
Who comes from the Shire.
He tries to watch Pip,
But that makes him tired.

Now is a Ranger,
Aragorn’s his name.
Becoming Gondor’s king
Is his high aim.

Now come Boromir,
A poor tempted man.
Resist the evil ring?
I’m not sure he can.

Legolas Greenleaf,
An elf type fellow
His boots are green
And his hair is yellow.

Gimli’s a dwarf
With cash in the bank.
And during a battle,
He’s tough as a tank.

Last is the wizard,
Gandalf the Grey.
Then he dies and returns,
But in a white way.

There you go folks,
That’s all of the nine!
In the end of the story
They all make out fine
