Thoughts on Winter and the Future

Winter has come, early it is dark
In the white snow, you can’t see a mark
The Moon is bright, it gives us light
So we won’t stumble in the night

With Eyes all bright and Hearts alight
We see the stars, they’re shining bright.
Where Elbereth has placed them
We sit outside and gaze at them

Our memory on wings, we think of other things
We play and sing, our thoughts take wing
They fly fly to the sky, there comes a reply
From Elbereth to us, as the day grows nigh.
Our pain we forget, look at what’s ahead
We rise to our feet, jump out of our bed.
With our eyes all wide, for gone is the night
For darkness has left, no stars, moom or night.

nothing will stand in our way or lessen
Our joy.
