The walls stand up high
There is not much hope

That the elf-friends will come

To the dawn of new day

To meet our enemies

In battle

We are here to attack
To strike them hard on the neck

We met them in battle
We slew their lines
But much has befallen
And we were betrayed
Were stricken from back
More of the armies
More of the dead
We were surrounded
By the marshals of death

But far in the forest
I hear elven horns
The battle horns of the west
Thousands of friends
They were like the rain
After a very dry day
They were a great relief
Of everlasting pain
And I knew that it wasn’t in vain
That we went into battle
Responded to the challenges
Of the hosts of hell

And so they fled
Returned to their masters
The kings of the dead
Let it be done
Let it be said
That the enemy fled
From the union of the armies clad
Into sunlit armor
With heart piercing swords
Let it be said
That the enemy fled
From the might of the west

And so we arise
And the dawn of new day has led away

The enemies, lords of the east
Let this day
Be put into song

Of brothers for long
Whose might
May never be challenged
Never assailed
Not even by those who are dead

Sang the trumpets upon the hills
We gathered our strength
For the final blow
And chased the enemy to their deep holes of stone
There a great battle befell the new age
Three armies have met at the peak of the day
And we were victorious
We came back
We have returned
