“Togo hon dad, Legolas!” Aragorn screamed. It was past midnight and they were fighting for Helms Deep. Aragorn had caught site of an orc runner carrying a torch to a pile of explosives. Legolas and Gimli heard their friend’s call. Legolas followed Aragorn’s glaze. He saw the orc and fired an arrow into the shoulder of the orc, but it kept running.

“Dago han! Dago han!” Aragorn pleaded. Legolas shot another arrow, this time to his other shoulder. Even with two arrows in him, the orc kept running. When he was close enough the orc dived into the explosives. There was a mighty bang and the three of them felt themselves rising threw the air, before going unconscious.

RING RING RING! Tru woke up and grabbed the phone. “Hello?” Tru asked.

“Tru, you might want to get over here NOW!” The person on the other line said. Tru recognized him as Davis, her boss.
“Why? I don’t have to be there for another hour.”
“There’s three people down here that you might want to see.”

“Who? Who’s there?”
“Three guys. One of them is a future king, another an elf, and the last is a dwarf. Right now they look like they’re ready to kill someone.”

Tru shot to life “I’ll be right there!” Tru said quickly. Tru quickly threw on jeans and a red top before running out of her apartment and to the streets. Tru waved down a taxi and hoped in. “City Morgue! HURRY!” Tru told the cab driver. The driver quickly pulled out and headed down the street.

When they were only 2 blocks away from the morgue they hit traffic. “Sorry, but it’s going to be a bit by the looks of it.” The driver informed her. Tru looked out the window nervously then hopped out. She grabbed 15 dollars and threw it at the cab driver. Then she ran in front of the cab and across the street to the side the Morgue was on.

When she finally got to the morgue she heard yelling. It was Gimli. It sounded like he wasn’t very impressed. Tru sprinted down the hall and into Davis’s Office, where all the screaming was coming from.

As she entered Gimli looked at her and stopped yelling. Legolas and Aragorn looked at her too. Legolas was the first one to hug Tru. “Great to see you again, mellon nin!” Legolas whispered. As he let go Aragorn pulled her into a tight embrace. “We meet again, mellon nin.” he said. Aragorn loosened his grip, squeezed her shoulder, and then took his place next to Legolas. Gimli stayed back for a couple seconds then braced Tru’s waist into the tightest hug. “Bless you lassie! I thought I’d never see you again!” he cried.

Tru stood there in silence, thinking it was a dream. Davis, who had been sitting at his desk with his head in his hands for awhile, finally spoke. “Now I know you weren’t lying, Tru. I believed you before, but had some doubt that it was true… But this,” he motioned his hands to the three strangers, “this proves you did go to Middle Earth.” Tru just nodded, still not believing that the three were with her.

Gimli cleared his throat loudly then said, “Suppose we could go outside? See what your world is like?” Tru shook her head.
“No. It’s too dangerous for you.”
“Why? How is it too dangerous?” Gimli questioned
“Half of those people out there know you. You may not know them, but they know you.” Tru answered.

Tru could see the confusion in all of their eyes. She didn’t know how to really explain it, but they had to know. Tru looked down at Davis’s desk and saw the magazine she had looked threw the last day. Suddenly she got an idea. Tru picked up a magazine and flipped threw it. When she found what she was looking for she put it down. She looked at her three friends then told then to look. On the page she had turned to was a picture of John Rhys-Davis, Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen at the premier of The Two Towers in New York.

Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli looked at the photo in disbelief. “Legolas, it’s you, except without blonde hair.” Aragorn said. “And look Gimli, It’s you, without the beard and red hair…” Legolas stated. “It’s Aragorn, except blonde brown hair instead of the black!” Gimli declared.

“They’re actors.” Tru told them. She explained to them as best as she could that a professor named J.R.R Tolkien wrote about them and created them. She also told them how Peter Jackson picked talented actors from around the world to reenact their journey. She knew that it probably sounded crazy to them, but she tried to make it make as much sense as possible. She told them the names of the actors that pretended to be them for seven years.

She studied each of her three friends. They seemed to follow what she was saying. She sensed that they wanted to go explore outside. Tru sighed and turned to Davis. “Davis, can you help me disguise them. You must have some clothes hiding around here somewhere. I can’t keep them here.” Tru whispered. Davis nodded in agreement. Tru smiled and turned back to the three boys. “I got to explore you’re world, so know I’ll let you explore mine!” Tru announced. Before they could move Tru quickly added, “But first we need to disguise you guys so no one recognizes you.”
