On singing:

Every odd line is for the main singer, every even line is for the chorus, and the four lines separated are meant for the main singer to sing slowly and dramatically. There isn’t a real tune to it yet, but try singing it yourself and play around with it!

“Under the Lonely Mountain”

Born was I on a hillside
under the Lonely Mountain
And on that slope I met my bride
under the Lonely Mountain
Sweetest girl I had ever seen
under the Lonely Mountain
Her beard was longer than mine ever had been
under the Lonely Mountain
When I moved in close to steal a kiss
under the Lonely Mountain
I noticed that something was amiss
under the Lonely Mountain

(slowly)
She said, there is something you must understand
while I sat there, holding onto her hand
No greater horror my ears have heard than
the revelation my true love was really a man

Courting I have gone no more
under the Lonely Mountain
I am the oldest Dwarven bachelor
under the Lonely Mountain
