This time I will use a group of small lines from the last pages of this chapter ; all aiming towards the same idea.
Frodo was aware that a light was shining; he saw it glowing on Sam's face beside him

the Sun was sinking, finding at last the hem of the great slow-rolling pall of cloud
"Look! The king has got a crown again

'They cannot conquer for ever!'

This is probably not what you were getting at but the lines you picked remind me of why I like Tolkien's writing so much: even though he's not the best of writers, something his language is simply beautiful. Even if you can't grasp what he's talking about, or you find a passage simply boring, there'll always be these odd lines that are just amazingly beautiful: because of their imagery, or the use of consonants, or the metre...

True. All these lines refer beautifully to one of the central themes of the LOTR: There's always hope, even if it isn't more than a glint of light in the darkness. And, they certainly belong to the "powerful imagery" category Figwit mentioned.
