I know I'm not the only one with a Sideshow Weta collection.

Lets see so far I have:
Frodo bust
Merry bust
Pippin bust
Gimli bust
Legolas bust
Aragorn bust
Boromir bust
Sam bust
Legolas statue
King Theoden statue
Elrond statue
Helm's Deep environment
The Golden Hall environment

Just added:
Eomer bust
Morgul Lord statue
Gandalf the grey bust

I also have Eowyn and Gandalf on Shadowfax pre-ordered. So what collections do other people have.

I have a pretty extensive collection of LOTR items from various merchants, but only a few from WETA/Sideshow due to their expense. They are:

Treebeard Bust
Arms of Legolas - Collection One
Galadhrim Helm
"No Admittance" Bookends
Orcs of Moria Medallion (received this free)
Argonath Bookends (from FOTR DVD set)
Smeagol Statue (from TT DVD set)

I've pre-ordered the Eomer Helm

The one item I'd really like at this point is the King Elessar Statue. Unfortunately, by the time I decided I wanted to purchase one it had sold out.

All I have are:

the 'No Admittance' bookends
Argonath bookends

I plan to get the ROTK DVD giftset with Minas Tirith.

I'd like a Frodo statue, but too expensive. And the Gandalf on Shadowfax is impressive.

I only have a few items:

Argonath Bookends

Gollum Statur

The Gandalf and Bilbo bookends that came witht the book gift pack.

And Three of the picture frames that were given out at the trilogy tuesday screening.

I'd love to add some more, but they are very expensive.

I just added the Gandalf and Shadowfax statue to my collection. My brother bought it for me for my birthday. What a piece!

So far:
Frodo Statue
Sam and Bill the Pony
Merry Statue
Gandalf the Grey Statue
Legolas Statue
Gimli Statue
Boromir Statue
Arwen Statue
The Galadrim warrior Statue
Smeagol (TTT box)
The Argonath
Trilogy Tuesday gift

on order: Eowyn and Gandalf the White on Shadowfax; Frodo and Sam's Orc helms, Eomer's helm, and Pippin Citadel Guard Helm.

I know that one day I will find Strider or Elessar somewhere and pay way too much for it, and I keep after them to do a Pippin statue.

Roheryn that would be cool if the came out with a Pippin statue. I have mentioned that they do all 4 hobbits in their armor. I would order them in a heartbeat.

Wow stoney what a collection. I'm still in the process of buying some others that I want. What is your favorite one? I think mine would be the Morgul Lord, although the Elrond statue is pretty cool too. I love the detail that these statues have. I hope Sideshow keeps coming out with new ones because I know will be watching for them.

Thanks lotr_freak17.I don't think that i can pick one out above the rest as they are all superb. If i was pushed i suppose that i'm particularly fond of the Ringwraith On Steed .It's huge and a quite beautiful statue.Samwise Gamgee And Bill The Pony is very well done as well and also the Saruman The White Statue. The detail on this is fantastic.Especially the face. The likeness to Christopher Leeis uncanny. It's quite unusual really as you tend to find the better likenesses on the busts because they are a bigger close up on the face.

Other than the items that came with the DVD's, I have only ordered the Legolas statue. Haven't received it yet, but can't wait.

I am green with envy at how extensive some of the collections posted here are. I wish I could afford them all!

I regret not getting more WETA stuff as soon as it was released, but our resources have gone into my son's action figures and the UC replica weapons.

I thought maybe we could concentrate on just trying to get WETA elves, but the prices are pretty high (even on Ebay).

Since our budget is limited, should we get the busts or the statues?

Thanks to anyone who posts a recommendation!

All of Weta figures are great quality. I do think the bust look a little more like the characters because they are a larger version. I really like the statues for the clothes the people wear. I really like Theoden's armor and Elrond's armor so that was a big factor in getting the statues. Otherwise I would probably have gotten the busts, because they do have more facial resemblance to the characters.

The elven things on ebay are pretty high. The one statue I really want , the Galadhrim archer, is usually very high priced.

I have been collecting for less than a year and thanks to the powers of Ebay (and my parents) I have the following items.

Uruk-Hai Scout Bust
Cleaved Orc Bust
Gimli son of Gloin Bust
Saruman the White Bust
Gaaldriel Bust
Moria Orc Swordsman Bust
Orc Overseer Bust
Pippin Bust
Ringwraith Bust
Nazgul Steed Bust
The White Hand Of Saruman Medallion
Cave Troll Medallion
Uruk-hai Berserker Bust
Theoden Bust
Wormtongue Bust

And my first statue (although I don't receive it until my birthday)

Balrog Flame Of Udun

On the whole I am happy with my collection. There some pieces I would love but there are also some I would give a miss...unless they were very cheap. Half the problem though is convining my Mum that there worth it...deep down inside she likes them really...

I have a pretty extensive collection of LOTR items from various merchants, but only a few from WETA/Sideshow due to their expense. They are:

Treebeard Bust
Arms of Legolas - Collection One
Galadhrim Helm
"No Admittance" Bookends
Orcs of Moria Medallion (received this free)
Argonath Bookends (from FOTR DVD set)
Smeagol Statue (from TT DVD set)

I've pre-ordered the Eomer Helm

The one item I'd really like at this point is the King Elessar Statue. Unfortunately, by the time I decided I wanted to purchase one it had sold out.
One year later and I finally received the Eomer helm I ordered. It's very nice and, I believe, was worth the wait.

No, I still haven't gotten the Elessar statue. I've been hoping to find one close to the original cost of $125 (I'm on Sideshow's waiting list for this item but I don't think any will ever come available.) It appears that my only option is to buy one at two to three times the original price.

Sideshow did come out with a mounted King Elessar but he's in a charging pose. As this would go in my bedroom I was hoping for something a little more stately.

I have a subscription to the Sideshow Collectibles Newsletter. A little while back it announced that they had unexpectly received some previously sold out LOTR items, one of them being the Gandalf the Grey statue. I'd seen that item at a convention and really liked it, so I ordered it.

I received the package today, and it IS nice! Presently Gandalf stands on my mantlepiece, below my framed 20x32 Brothers Hildebrandt print of Goldberry.

Old Tom - that picture of Goldberry is wonderful! Where did you get it from?

http://www.spiderwebart.com is the studio of the Brothers Hildebrandt. If you go to their Tolkien section you'll find two pages of items from The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

The "Goldberry - Custom Order" oil on canvas print is what I have. It comes in three sizes, I have the 20 x 32 inches print. As described, it comes on a canvas. I took it to a shop to have it stretched and framed just as one would with a painting. The actual print is even more beautiful than the online image.

I also have the same size and style print of The Wedding of the King in my bedroom.

I added another item to my collection, the 1/4 squale "Helm of Sauron". I received it as a prize for winning a trivia contest with questions from The Hobbit.

I have it setting on my computer desk alongside Toy Biz figures of Isildur, Elendil, an Elven Warrior from the 2nd Age (prologue to FOTR), Gil-galad, and Elrond in his 2nd Age armor (prologue to FOTR).

The helm may be on the small side but it is heavy! (Don't drop this on your foot, kiddies!)
