Please, translate these words into Sindarin (or describe the best way to express them)!:
only
to teach
to understand
empty
cat (just interested if it's possible to say!)
to mean
to forget
to get
before

Many of these don't have a Sindarin equivalent, but I'll help you with a couple of the easy ones:

"to understand" is henia-
"empty" is lost

These can be found in the dictionary in the Language section, or the the downloadable dictionary program DragonFlame.

for "to mean" you could use "to intend", which is thel-
for "cat" I've used raw dithen (lit. "little lion")

There aren't Sindarin words for all of these, though if you search the COE dictionary you'll find some there. Some options are:

only - Neo-Sindarin na-erui (to the + 1.single, alone)
to teach - perhaps use Neo-Sindarin tan- (to show)
to understand - henia- (to understand)
empty - cofn or lost (empty)
cat (just interested if it's possible to say!) raw dithen (small lion)
to mean - possibly thel- (to intend, mean, purpose, resolve, will)
to forget - Neo-Sindarin ú-ren- (to 'not remember' from NS ren- - to remember)
to get - toltha- (fetch, make come)
before - David Salo used the prefix 'nu-' (which means 'under') for 'before'
other - would love a viable option myself! perhaps 'tadui' ('second') might be a possibility?
anyone - pen (2.somebody, someone, anybody, anyone)
everyone - pân (all)

For 'cat', there is the Noldorin miaug. It might also be valid in Sindarin.
