Viggo Mortensen (Aragorn) pronounces Legolas's name very well in the movies. The correct pronunciation: the first syllable is the sound of the le in English 'let'. The second syllable is almost like E. 'go', but the vowel is shorter, i. e. the vowel o has the sound as in E. 'for'. The final syllable sounds like northern US pronunciation of E. 'loss', i. e. the vowel sound is the same as the a in E. 'father'. The first syllable of Legolas recives the stress (accent). More or less, LEH-go-lahs.
