Post Sindarin Translator?
on: April 24, 2005 04:07
I was just wondering if CoE had a translating device. For a school project I need to memorize something in a different language, and I would LoVe lOvE LOVE it if I could do it in Sindarin. I'm only asking because I'm too lazy for now to go to the dictonary and just do it the hard way(ie look up the words, conjugate and place them correctly). Just looking for an instant translator.

CoE doesn't no - and I don't think there's anything quite of that sort 'out there', anywhere. - Nor could there ever be one. There are too many "unknowns"/missing words/etc.

Nor is it just a matter of 'conjugating' and placing words 'correctly' - even that is a matter of (sometimes) intense debate. There are all the Mutations to consider, too. lol, I'd think trying to program that alone would be a nightmare!

(ps - Did you know you 'double-posted' this thread? )

Thanks. I was only wondering.
Now at least I know I get to do it the hard (see: fun) way. Oh, and yes, I did know. I meant to press preview but actually pressed post. Oh well.
Off to translate now. Bye!
*zooms to dictonary, giggling madly*
