Is the correct translation to "Hope dies last" = "Estel firo bo meth"?

It is rather straight translated from german, although my english is not to bad, I wouldnt find a way to rephrase it.... I hope you know what I want to say with the words...

I would suggest:

Estel fîr medui or Estel fîr vedui.

It is not quite clear whether the adverb should be lenited after the verb.

Can you tell me why you choose "fír"? While doing some research on your answer I found my first mistake by appending "o", but I think it should have been -i (fíri)...

If Ailinel doesn't mind me answering... :angel:

According to suggested conjugations for 'i-stem' verbs:

"firo" would be the imperitive form (die!)
"firi" would be the infinitive form
"fîr" would be the 3rd person singular present tense form (he/she/it dies)
