"But Fingon climbed to the foot of the precipice where his kinsman hung, and then could go no further; and he wept when he saw the cruel device of Morgoth."
I'm looking for a large Middle Earth poster, circa 1976 or so. It was probably 4'x6' and was almost surrealistic in style. I remember a large chameleon sort of thing in the foreground and wraiths up in the distance. I loved this poster but lost it in a move many years ago, and would greatly love to find it for my son. Any ideas?
This was not a Hildebrand painting and I think I ordered it from the back of one of my paperback editions (now long since gone).
Found a hint in the links here for www.collecttolkien.com
where they have an archive of collectibles, and now have a small pic of the posters I once owned... So exactly what I'm searching for is the "Come to Middle Earth 2" shown on http://www.collecttolkien.com/PostersMapsMisc.HTML
Seems they were put out or at least sold by Ballantine books.
Again- thanks if anyone has any ideas where I might find one, or want to sell one!
