I'm working on a project- and I can't find a word in the dictionary here.

I'm looking for the word dream...well, actually the verb for "to dream" would be preferable.

If anyone could point me to a dictionary where I could find that out. Or, even the word itself would be helpful. Either way- thanks in advance. ^_^

The verb "to dream" is óla-. Note that it is an impersonal verb so you need to remember that it cannot take a subject.

do you mean the "english" eqivalent of a direct object, or any kind of subject...ei "I dream or I dreamed"

Or would the verb simply stand alone?

Sorry, Quenya is still rather new to me. I'm more used to dealing with Sindarin. Thanks for the help ^_^

It is an impersonal verb like e.g. "it snows".

So we have to transform the sentence:
"The knight dreams about horses"
into
"it dreams about horses to the knight"
(or if you like in better English: "a dream of horses is given to the knight")

The "about" is in Quenya translated by a genitive case: roccoron.
The "to" becomes a dative case: roquenen.

So the whole sentence becomes:
Óla roccoron roquenen.

Yassë engë lómë, anarties calali.

but you see, there is no object of the sentence that I'm trying to translate. It's not even a complete sentence.

"I dreamed"

So you see, there's nothing to state that one is dreaming about. So, does that mean then the sentence would have to change to "a dream is given to me" ? Or would it be something else entirely?

Yes, the presence or absence of an object is irrelevent so the sentance would change to something like "[it] dreams to me" (or in valid English "a dream is given to me") when translated.

If you're still confused, this is my translation of your sentance:
Ólanë nin

"I dreamed"
