I was just wondering two things....

1) Are we allowed to use the screen caps already uploaded onto this website to make things such as wallpapers, etc.?

2) If not...well, I can't figure out how to get my own...anyone know how? I typically use Gimp for my photo manips. So if someone knows how to use that, it would be especially helpful to me

You are allowed to use screencaps for wallpapers, a lot of wallpapers in the MultiMedia- section are based on screencaps .
Keep in mind that if you want to use fanart for such purposes, you must check with the artist before using them!

I'm sorry, but can't help you out with 'Gimp', never heared of it .

About taking screencaps - PrintScreen (Prt Sc) key is the key
however you have to disable hardware acceleration in your media player. Or (if this looks difficult) download PowerDVD, this might enable you taking screencaps right from the player.

I use GIMP too, but I dont know much about it's magic.
