Probably Boromir....such a sad story between him, Faramir and their Dad, and not a chance to work all that out for those who remain, or better, the one that remains at the end of it all.

Having lost a lot of loved ones myself, I feel strongly for Faramir and the weight that must be on his shoulders.

hugs

I would pick Theoden too. He was always one of my favorite characters.

If we are thinking the books. I don't know. First I thought that I would pick Theoden, but I like Eomer as the King. Hmm I think I would bring Celebrian back to her husbands arms and heal her so she could be happy and heathy with her husband and her children. I really cannot choose anyone else.

And if we are talking about the movies. I would bring back Haldir. I just wasn't fair. :sob:

For the movies, Haldir, no doubt about it! He didn't deserve to die! :sob:

In the books, I would bring back Theodred.

Definitely Boromir- he had to die right after repenting and "converting" as it were, and I think he'd be an even more amazing person after that!

Theodred also deserved to live- he's awesome in Unfinished Tales (or is it Lost Tales?)! But then Eomer would never get to be king...hmmm....

Haldir

As far as I'm concerned He didn't die . . . . He left with his people for the Undying Lands & that is where he remains . . .

The one directorial decision where I would disagree with PJ

Haldir. From the books I knew Boromir would die, however sad...but Haldir!! NO! To keep my sanity I agree with PP as well.

Smeagol, then Boromir. Then Wormtongue (Grima, whatever.) Oh yes, and that poor Fell Beast that Eowyn beheaded. I always wanted one of them!

Haldir...

You got me thinking though, what to do with a Fell Beast? My answer is call it Munchkin and put a pink bow on it...
