Usually I dip into my HoME books and read small chunks here and there, but when it comes to the marathon-straight-through reading, I'm on my second read. Right now I'm enjoying The Lays of Beleriand.

That is a great gift, Lord_Sauron. I do not have the complete set, just 4 volumes, and I have not read any of them. Maybe now is a good time to start.

All 12 1st editions are on sale on a certain internet auction site for £2,100 or $3,000 if anyone wants to get me an Xmas present. No? Oh well, worth a try.
