Post Elven Naming Traditions
on: January 24, 2014 03:00
Hello! ♥‿♥

I found this website that taught how the Elves would name their children (or themselves) and I thought I'd share in case anyone was interested.

The site is: http://www.realelvish.net/names.php
~*You are not wrong, who deem That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream.*~

I found it very interesting, Silmelirie! And it seems very accurate, too. Thanks for sharing!

You're welcome!

I love the fact that Tolkien even thought about that detail; a tradition of naming.

I know! If only we could speak to him... That same site had some other really interesting essays, too.
