i elen síla am i lúmë ned menya omentië

So this was my first attempt to translate something, it was supposed to be "A star shines upon the hour of our meeting" and I was wondering if it was right.

The sentence you are speaking of is a well-known Quenya greeting, in a high-style (a simple Quenya greeting would be just Aiya!, that translates "Hail!" - could be used for "Hello!", "Hi!" ). But the actual phrase you meant to translate is:

Elen síla lúmenn' omentielvo ("A star shines upon the hour of our meeting" ).

Thank you I knew I had read it somewhere before and thought I got it wrong but I couldn't figure it out.
