I am trying to translate the word "rival" into Quenya, however I cannot find a suitable synonym.

The nearest word I can find is "Cotumo" which has the meaning of "enemy" however it feels like the word is too strong for something like rival.

Is there a word with a closer meaning that might be better?

There is a Noldorin word ennerion "rival". Maybe you could use it as a kind of loan word into Quenya?
