Does anyone know how to determine what series a figure(action or 12") is? I have a bunch but don't know how to tell.

Wow! this is not my area of expertise, but I have surely bought many many LOTR figures for my daughter who seriously collects.

Okay, when you purchase your figure, it will be classifed as, say for example, ROTK Series IV Legolas....That means that it will be in the fourth wave of figures to come out for that movie.

Series I...first wave of figures. A couple months later, Series II, the second wave...a couple months later, Series III, and so forth.

Also, you can try to remember when you bought your figures and match them up to ones you see for sale on amazon.com or other sites that actually say which wave they came in, or series.

I don't think thats the clearest answer, and a true collector can surely explain it better.

If you want an example, go over to amazon.com and you will see the series I, series II, and so forth that they have up for ROTK...now these can be considered spoilers, just in case you want to be surprised

I'm not tring to brag but I know quite a bit about the lotr line. Including ROTK assortments and where to find pics of them that were banned.
