i don’t know why everyone keeps saying that this is from ROTK because Aragorn DOES NOT DIE in ROTK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yep, this is TTT (the film), but the event doesn’t happen until after RotK. It almost looks like it’s from…

I think this scene was mentioned in the Epilogue portion of RoTK…
this is what Elrond tells Arwen will happen (in TTT the Movie), it is also mentioned in the Appendices
The scene really makes you think that even if your love is true, you can’t love who you want to love.
This is the saddest story..her and Aragorn…It’s the only one in all the stories I’ve heard that made me cry.
It makes me wonder which is worse…to go on living after he’s dead, or to die with him

star crossed lovers everywhere. It is a symbol of strength in the face of the odds, and it is both fortifying

Elrond is showing what will happen in their future. Aragorn will die because he is mortal and she will linger
