Yikes! looks like hes about to give someone an earbashing!
Boo!!! Hiss!!! Boo!!! Hiss!!!
*holds up sign saying EVIL *
Evil pyromanical jerk! (can you tell I don’t like him? Never had since reading ROTK)
that man looks he has a bug up his a$$ thats about the size of a horse
hey, someone agrees with me on the pyromaniac thing!
i hope he’s got gonna go yell @ faramir!
I like Denethor. He’s a very tragic character, not to be mistaken as evil. He dispaired because his will could
not contest with that of the Dark Lord whilst using the palantir.
There’s a great essay about Denethor in Elrond’s library. I don’t hate him; I think he’s tragic, although
often not very nice (especially to poor Faramir).
Denethor shouldn’t have been so STUPID when he thought he was actually strong enough to USE the darn Palantir!
Can you tell I don”t like Denethor AT ALL? Maybe it comes from him not likeing Aragorn when “Thorongil” as
Aragorn was called, served in Gondor. Or maybe it’s because he’s mean to Faramir ALL THE TIME. Well in ANY
case, I DO NOT LIKE DENETHOR AND I NEVER WILL. “Nuff said.
a)He was grief-stricken, b) Stealing your father’s affections does tend to put one off.
Blame Ecthelion, not Denethor. Give him a break.
Denethor deserves a lot of respect in my opinion, and John Noble for playing the film version very well
Oh, so we’re assuming this is Pyromaniac!Abusive!Idiotic!Denethor, eh? Wait’ll Miss Cam hears about this…
In any case, Denethor is a v. troubled man, and deserves more respect and pity that y’all give him.
Yeah! You tell ’em, Rosie!
To me, the Echtelion-Denethor-Thorongil trio is one of the deepest relationship in all LOTR, and that’s saying
a lot.
Nobody ever put Denethor in that light before, but I think he’s a lonely, depressed man…
…because if his mom died when he was a boy and his grieving dad had to bring him up on his own…
…I can’t completely fault him for being sterner toward his own sons than he should.
Not to mention he loved his wife beyond all reason then she died after only 12(?) years of marriage.
