According to the canon, Erestor is an elf Lord of Rivendell….so either the casting dept. didn’t read closely
or said dept. did waaaay too good of a job on the whole elvish-androgyny thing here. Too much eyeshadow!

Erestor is half-noldo half-silvan, by the way. Avari means “Unwilling”. The Avari were those that turned back
to Cuvienen halfway to Valinor. That is definetely a guy. And he is gorgeous. I am an obsessive
