Yes, he is holding the palantir (if I spelled it right).
He looks like he’s meditatng over it. Scare thought what it could do to him if he looked into.

I heard Arwen is supposed to help him use the Palantir. That just seems really stupid to me. Um, hello, PJ!
He’s the rightful heir, he’s supposed to be able to do it by himself! That’s the point, you know. After Pippin
looked into it and saw Sauron, even Gandalf was afraid to use it. Then he gives it to Aragorn. I think PJ is
just trying to give Arwen more screen time – but I wish he wouln’t do it in stupid ways! Am I even making any
sense? I’m really tired…
