Spider! Spider! SPIDER!! And I have Aracnidphobia, too! (Fear of Spiders) But, now that I’ve seen RotK 10
times, I’m used to seeing spiders anywhere without panicing.
I allways thought of shelob as like a black widow…but she is also really only in spider form…not really a
spider per se, but hey, it was great, I am not complaining!

come to think of it the spiders on my back porch look like shelob (we have black widdows and wolf spiders)

I think Shelob’s just an enlarged house spider. After all, female house spiders don’t go far from their webs, and it’s just natural behavior of them to leave their webs around like that! Tarantulas don’t use their webs for that matter—you know, I’ll stop here ‘fore I get into a long lecture about spiders. XD To sum it all up: THERE’S MAH GIRL!!! XD
