Hey guys? I’m pretty sure that Smeagol and Deagol weren’t Hobbits. They were Stoors, whatever those are.
A stoor is one of the three types of hobbit, and the one on the right is Smeagol
Like Sam is a Harfoot hobbit and Frodo is a mix of Harfoot and Fallohide (the other two types)

Apparently, in ROTK it tells us how Smeagol turned into gollum on behalf of those who haven’t read LOTR.

I don’t think there boat would actualy float very well, and if it did it would probably be very hard to keep
it that way.
