I think I could follow anyoe who admitted they were as scared as me- another very Tolkien bit!
I dunno. I’m not really sure what he’s referring to in that line. I love lines like that. ^^ Lol

He hasn’t forgotten anyone, but he feels her pain and understands he is a large part of it.
Two words. Quit flirting. I do hope he lets her off easy. And I don’t really understand that line either.
He’s not flirting, Ladylireniel. He’s simply trying to comfort her. How would you feel if the man you ‘loved’
was riding into uncertain death? Just because he doesn’t return her feelings, doesn’t mean he doesn’t care. 🙂

he looks sooo scared!…how can he be scared?…I can’t stand seeing him scared!!!
He’s not scared, he’s sad, Atholas. and I feel the same way, und0miel. Aragorn loves Arwen, but he cares for
Eowyn’s feelings. He sees her as a friend, and wishes she would not grieve for him.

I think in that line he’s referring to his fear of his heratige – his fear of failure.
But notice he says “would”. He must have finally got over it!
