I like Aragorn, but not the helmet. There’s something particularly dodgy about the helmet.
It looks like a cross between Sam’s salad bowl and the pope’s tiara. And it’s scary.
I don’t like Aragorn’s face-it makes him look too hard and unforgiving. The mail and hair are nicely done tho.
I think its the colour Figwit, bronze just doesnt go with his skin tone
i like the sword but it’s not how i imagined him. in the book it says he has black hair some white hair.
I like Aragorn himself here. But not the helmet. It looks like an oversized goblet inverted on his head.
i like the helmet. it’s very stand-outish, and catches you eye right away.

Yeah k, I looked at it again and it’s probably that the bronze is too yellowish, like there’s sun on it
i would definately say that the helmet looks like what figwit said. terrible. viggo’s version is way better.
I love John Howe’s work, all of it, but I’m actually never fond of the way he draws Aragorn…

The Helmet Rocks, very Nordic. Aragorn… looks nothing like I thought he would.. I don’t really like Viggo..
But I hate this version of Aragorn, and Viggo looks 10 times better. I would run away screaming if I saw this
dude. He looks like the Roman depiction of Barbarians.
Um, he doesn’t much look like how I pictured Aragorn. And what’s with the helmet? He looks like some of the
people in Stargate SG-1’s “Thor’s Chariot” on the planet Cimmeria. They were a viking culture.

If the helmet had horns, would you then call it a viking’s helmet? In truth their helmets didn’t.
That makes it a helmet of the norse warriors. Howe is clearly making connections…
maybe im just used to the movie version of aragorn, but i didnt picture him with a bronze cap/helmet/bowl hehe
