ok perhaps he doesnt look like Viggo! eowyn looks like i imagined her though perhaps a teeny bit too pale
a teeny bit? she looks like a stoned ghost or something
E owyn is a little dead, methinks
This is pretty much how I see Eowyn, except with different eyebrows.
how do u know thats Leggy?
Gimli is sitting behind him
Gimli looks like PJ’s version!! ^O^
Well of course. Lee did the conceptual design for the movies after all.
woo! she’s a bit homely ain’t she?
I think Tolkien described her as being a little pale
I’m a tomboy sort and pale like her (it doesn’t look so bad, honestly), so its definately possible…
Aragorn looks really old and Eowyn doesn’t look too happy!
I think Eowyn looks perfect, but I can never get into a beardless Aragorn
i LOVE alan lees pictures, even though this aragorn is ugly. i like the eowyn though, exactly how i imagined!
This is my fav Eowyn illustration!!!
eowyn’s perfect, but aragorn looks a bit too old. he looks just as old as he’s supposed to be but he shouldn’t
Eowyn is certainly as I think of her, cold in a certain way. Beautiful pic.
I didn’t like this much, but I enjoyed the fact that Eowyn is wearing trousers (or whatever you call those)
eowyn looks like an elf!
oh m6y god look at Gimlli
This is how I pictured eowyn. Kind of distant and cold. I can see it in this picture. A well done to Lee.
I like the picture-Eowyn’s slightly necroticized face and Lackbeard (thank you, Shakespeare)
I love Alan Lee’s Eowyn-all of his women are a bit peeky, though. Take Arwen/Luthien.
I love this picture!
OK…it’s a nice pic but there’s someting i don’t like..eowyn is too pale..she looks like a legolas’ cousin…
..or something…but anyway i still like it, ’cause i love ALan lee’s paintings!
good Eowyn…..Aragorn is pretty good too, though not quite how I imagined him
I think Aragorn looks great: tired, weathered, but not old. (and WHO ever said he was devestatingly handsome?)
once again right out of the movie
now this is a great composition. Lots of character in Eowyn. This is one I like a lot: must re-read this part
Lee’s Aragorn is the closest to my personal image of him and I think he draws women so pale to make them look
a bit ethereal . This picture is one of my favourite
