Rivka’s favorite?
Go Frodo! Take that Nazgul! Asfaloth is so cool…. Sorry, had to get all this in one comment!
Now thats the way it should be, Frodo the Hero not Frodo the wimp.
i love this scene. the horses inthe waterfall and frodo looking all brave- fantastic
*Squeee!* Thank you, HF 🙂
I can almost feel the water!
I love the Nazgul in this!! Perfect! They could almost leap out of the screan into real life!
One of my favorite lines in the book in the description
The pic is just lovely, even if Frodo IS standing on the wrong side of Bruinen.
I’m with HH! I hope he gets a SMALL amount of courage in the next film. Is that SO much to ask?
i likes this one! Frodo rocks!
“You shall have neither the Ring nor me!” said Frodo with a last effort, lifting his sword.
weirrddd pic…i mean it…i like glorfindels horse though….
looks cool, ‘sepecially w/ the water
the effect of the water and the Nazgul are amazing. the whole thing looks so real
hehe,hope ya liked that!anyways,AMAZING PICTURE!I LOVE IT!GO FRODO!!
wonderful… and beautifull!
that’s the right Frodo… Hero, not *mutters* whimp… my Howe’s favourite…
:Gasp: Asfolath doesn’t have any riens!
perhaps hes the kind of horse that either lets people ride him or doesnt…
What a great picture…it’s like time has stopped for the briefest of moments to capture so much motion! nice
Beautiful!! the horses are just wow! And the spray just look so real! 15 outta 10 for this pic!
There’s nothing I can say to express my feelings for this
Definitly one of my favorite Howe paintings. It’s hard to get any better than this.
I love this part! It is one of my favorites in the book!!!!!
“Nana nana booboo!” Frodo said with a last effort sticking his tounge out at the nazgul.
bwah hah hah hah haaaaah! Die nazgul! Die!
Howe is amazing!
What beautiful horses! i wish i could draw that well.
This is the way it should be in the movie!!! Not some prissy elf princess saving him.
Go Frodo! They really do make him look like a wimp in the movies. It’s really too bad.
They better give him SOME courage in the next movie if he’s gonna’ distroy the ring!
I think the only reason they had Arwin save him in the movie was because they wanted moor Elvish in it.
Asfaloth does not have reins because no elves need them. Wow, love this pic.
I’m angry at PJ for not having this part in the movie..elvish smelvish we need more hobbitish or something
Great Pic. The water, horses, and everything looks so reealistic. And Frodos actually looking heroic.
john howe is an awesome artist, the scene is breathtaking and asfaloth is drawn incredibly. Luv 4 John Howe!!!
I also love frodo and asfaloth’s stance lol…sorry this wouldn’t fit into the precious message
This pic is also beautiful and one of the best I’ve seen! I wish I could draw like that too!
thats right frodo, you tell those Nazgul!!
i hate how in the movies they made frodo whimpy. frodo should of taken on the nazgul by himself
Nazgul: who oredered the waterfall of horses??
THIS IS THE COOL ONE
Waw! This one really rocks!
This is truly beautiful. My only drawback is Asfaloth’s too pony-sized.
Its absolutly beautiful!!!!!!! 🙂 I’ll bye it!!! LOL
Frodo seems just barely consious, wavering his sword, and gathering all his courage. Absolutly amazing!!!!!!!
Go Frodo!!!!!!
Frodo: If you want me, come and claim me! (sorry, couldn’t resist, hehe)
But I agree… Frodo should have been like this in the movie… not that I have anything against Arwen though.
Frodo is so brave. i love the water and everything actually.
i love this pic very much! one of the coolest drawings of all time! 😀
That is *THE* most amazing picture I’ve seen in a long long time.
i luv this pic! its so…real!
omg! great! woweee! frodo rox man! luvin it!
beautiful pic, Frodo can be brave! yay!
HappyHobbit (3rd comment) has it right!
I wanted the movie to be like this- Frodo and Asfaloth both worn out yet facing the Nazgul with courage!
It would have showed Frodo as brave and also Asfaloth as a horse warrior protecting his rider.
Asfaloth to me is not small- he has just come down from rearing and striking out at the Nazgul horses.
Asfoloth is a bit small, but still courageous…Frodo looks normal sized on him
otherwise, amazing pic!! did anybody notice the water horse in the water? right by the top of the pic. so cool
Awsome!!! Asfaloth is small, not exactly built like I’d picture him, but still an amazing and beautiful pic!!
Wow, I love this picture! So much going on at one time…It’s inpowering…If that’s even a real word.
I really like the way the horse is sliding! It’s awesome!
worst picture EVER!!! lol jk this is alsome I love the way the water is!
i love the horse!!!
thank god for random block!!
Awesome! It definatly portrays Frodo’s last moments before he fell into darkness perfectly.
Wow! That’s amazing!
I love that pic! It’s probably my favorite by John!
I like the way the water-horses faces are angry at the Nazgûl.
thats amazing..but it seems too rocky, from what i pictured it. Still really cool tho
*whistles* Now this is well done
I love this. This is the best interpretation of that scene I’ve ever seen.
I love it! I imagined Asfaloth to be bigger though. This is where Frodo fell of the horse. :'(
wow what a great scene! i love it!!!
A very heart pounding picture. It captures the scence perfectly. Great job!
This is an awesome pic! I love the horses in the backround!
I love the way Mitheithel is painted….
Awesome like an Opossum!
As much as I love Liv Tyler, I still wish I could’ve seen this scene. I LOVE this painting!!
that is so kool……i wish it was like this in movie even more now!!
I love Asfaloth’s stance and the way the water was done:)
Ooh, I love that pic!!!
It’s so dramatic, just how I envisioned it. I love the way Tolkien wrote this scene not how PJ did it, because
his way made Frodo seem like a poo-nannie, this is how it should have been!!!
Hey! Asfaloth looks like a horse at my yard!! cool pic. 😀
great pic the horse looks like a pony though
I like the pic of the water horse at the top looks v. cool!
MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA! BEAT ‘EM UP! SLICE ‘EM! DICE ‘EM…or you could drown them XD =3
It’s between Frodo being to big or the horse is a pony.
Frodo’s suck a wuss in the movie. Nice to see him as someone a little more than worthless for a change…
~Really nice~
Waaaaauw…. so beautiful <3
though I saw the movie first, I would rather have seen this than Arwen. I don’t care what u think, I luv it!!
yeah! thats jsut right…. fantastic energy in this picture
That water actually looks real!!!
Great pic, but Asfolath looks a little too much like a poney IMHO.
one of the best pictures in the world
This is the picture on my copy of the Fotr!
Beautiful depiction of the Flight at the Ford! How close Frodo was to his doom!
Yet, there was another, greater power!
Geez, Necrid! Why are you so mad? (Not to offend you.) Anyway, what pony is that?!
I haven’t read the books… sorry!
*applauds*
Frodo is NOT a wimp. He did tons of brave things in the trilogy. Please don’t insult him.
