He does look like Tom! I agree!! Its the yellow boots!!
Oh no! You’re right! He’s wearing Bombadil Boots!
Taller smoking Tom. I guess whoever said it was gandalf, made a mistale cos Garland wouldn’t do this would he?
no its definately gandalf i was so sure it wasnt i checked in lots of places 🙂
I really like the background
the flower is cool
i luve the back ground its so pretty
I think this must be Gandalf from the Hobbit. Because there it says that Gandalf has got tall boots.
And by the way; the boots on the picture aren’t yellow, they’ve got the natural color of leather.
i like the moutain ranges in the background, they look like the kind you see often in photos of china
and i find the detail on the moss of the tree very fascinating…..
Gosh! He looks like Tom Bombadil! I love the little creek trickling through.
Oh no! Gandalf got demoted! Now he’s Gandalf the Blue!!
Love the setting and the gold irises in the foreground.
like the blue-green background, the gold irises in foreground. beautiful scenery.
The scenery is breathtaking but to me Gandalf just doesn’t look right- looks more like saruman to me(or maybe
im just weird
the colours are great.
he might want to work on his gandalf painting and just redo the whole thing *sneeze, it’s crap!!!*
This might be when Gandalf first came to Middle-earth.That would explain his thin frame and ruged good looks.
I doubt that melkorisourfriend could do any better. I admire all the detail.
I agree with Legadriel
A great array of strong symbols. A very contemplative scene.
creepy old guys with pipes, wizard hats and yellow boots will now enter my nightmares and haunt me eternally
everything is lovley, but the “gandalf” as we call him scares me…eep
Wow! This strongly reminds me of the painting ‘Der Berggeist’ by J Madlener. Which, is thought to have been a
part of Tolkiens inspiration for Gandalf…hmmm. I actually did a recent news article on it here at COE
Why did Gandalf shave? I never told him to!
The colors in this are really nice!
Gandalf has a blue hat; maybe Garland forgot and made his cloak blue too. Or maybe it’s the light.
And why shouldn’t Gandalf be thin, as long as he’s broad shouldered? I like it.
This was Morwen, Danlinde’s sister
I think he looks like Tom Bombadil after some kind of starvation diet…
