Is that really what they call FotR? I’m only in second year German, but since fahrt means trip, doesn’t this
mean “The Trip”?
no, it means “the Fellowship”, they just left out the rest. it would´ve been “die gefährten des ringes” I
think, but they shortened it.
Well, I’m from Germany, too, but I think the English original is much better! Some of the spirit of lotr is
lost in the German translation. I only read it in English now…
