I seriously don’t remember this part in the book… is there something I’m missing?! Tell me!
nope its in the film though
both LotR films to be exact
how come he painted it like this?
Because he wanted to?
He painted this like it is cause he went on a hike and saw these tree roots and all he needed to do was place
the hobbits and the black rider.
yeah im surwe this was especially for PJ since he and Alan Lee were the artists for the movie
this was in the book, but it wasn’t as big of a scene
like in the book
and the movie
no it wasnt in the book- the four hobbits never had swords + hid from the black riders under a tree did they?
no, sam and pip hid away from the road and frodo alone hid behind a bush… if I’m not mistaken
well how about it! john howe says this scene was inspired by bakshi of all people!!
Of all indeed!
those hobbits are… rrr… ummm…. no comment.
*shivers* thats exactly how i amagined it*in the book* exept they were seperated. that would be sacarier by
yourself
so freaky and creepy and….kool!
this scene is actually in the books. its in the fellowship.
the hobbit’s eyes look freakiER than the nazgul
It’s more cute than terrifying, but I really like it.
What’s up with the hobbits?
the hobbit’s look weird
Don’t like the Hobbits. They look like I don’t no what.
i thought in the book it said you couldn’t see the Ringwraiths eyes or his face?
Well, whether it is true to the book or the movie, its a great work of art.
If he was practicing for the movie, great. But if he’s going according to the book, Frodo should be alone.
Also, they shouldn’t have swords yet at all.
where
DID the swords come??????
i think the hobbits ruin the picture. the look out of place and weird
one of them doesn’t even looke like a hobbit, kinda like an overweight gollum
yeah, i dont like the hobbits at all, too fat, too bumbling. Dont like the Nazgul either, come to think of it
It’s strange how the mist through the trees captures the eye, I didn’t even notice the characters at first…
WAS in book, noly not as much..something.. Really cool pic! but hobbits are..kinda scarey… so is the nazgul
i love it but the hobbits don’t feel right… *hmmm*
It looks almost real. That hobbit on the top looks funny.
Weird. Just Wierd>
For some reason the hobbits look kinda silly in this painting…
Not my favorite picture unfortunately.
Why they have swords?!
but they didnt have swords in this part of the movie
its a nice picture but wholey inacurate – it shouldn’t be representative of the LOTR artwork
I don’t like the Hobbits, but I love the Black Rider!
uhh. Bakshi. …….tree is cool though!
I have yet to see a good picture of hobits. They always look either like Santa he’s elves, or just
plain goofy. Like here.(And that should be ‘Santa’s elves.’)
The movie took this scene and used it, obviously.
