I think Gimli should have won. He probably drinks harder stuff than Leggy
perhaps, but legolas have had some hundreds, if not thousands, more years for practicing…
and anyway it says in one of the appendixes (can’t remember which one) that it takes a lot of booze
to get an Elf drunk
so Legsie would have won in the first place… also in the Hobbit Thranduil likes to drink… maybe legsie too
I think Leggy won the fight one at Helm’s deep, because of that ladder he shot down…

As for the getting drunk thingy, he’s used to wine, which is a LOT stronger than ale…

No. Legolas drinks much stronger alcohol than Gimli, Thranduil drinks all that really strong Dorwinion wine

i also love the part when Legolas says he thinks the drink is starting to affect him cause he feels a tingle in his fingers, then the dwarf falls over!!
