it has been drastically changed to the complete OPPOSITE of a valley, ie. a mountain?!
Wasn’t rivendell like an ice crystal. This Bakshi sure moves around his locations.

Rivendell is supposed to be “glen of the cleft” i.e. In a valley! Not stuck on the side of Mt Everest!
