oh, this is soooooo beautiful! I love this pic, it’s just like a dragon should look like imho
OH Wow! I LOVE Smaug! belive it or not, he is my fav character in the Hobbit. Bello!
O.O oooh
wow! thats such a beautiful picture! absoloutely stunning!
That’s the way a dragen should look like, very powerful. This is very good
oo, so many diamonds
The use of colour is truly amazing. Another great Alan Lee work to add to my collection!
Impressive! Oh, I do wish there will be a Hobbit movie or TV version!
It’s got a great molten lava kind of glow to it. Lee is one of the best watercolour artists around.
Very lovely, but I prefer him doing paintings of Lothlorien and Rivendell better, because of his pale colour
usage and soft lines. It’s a beatiful painting but I don’t quite feel the ‘fury’.
Watercolour paintings suit either a setting that is very happy or very dreary to me. *beautiful, sorry.
purdyful
very well done
Duuude! that is one *kule* dragon! And i totally agree, Sirene, Smaug is da bomb!
the colour is great but Smaug needs to eat something. Smaug is very skinny!!
OOH! I love it, it looks so real!
This is very good, but Smaug’s face I have to say, lacks the intelligence I pictured him with.
This is incredible. *saves*
wow, the flames actually hurt my eyes
I just love that the Smaug is being depicted skinny. Hollow-boned and lightweight. a true flying carnivore.
I like John Jude Palencar’s dragons best, but this one is good too
i love how it’s not a jet of fire, just a blinding brightness.
quite a lot of whoa here. these dragon pictures are animated well
Aooohhh! O_O This is exactly how I picture him! Amazing!
woah… that is pure awsm!
