Well, at least they remembered Bombadil, unlike some other people I could mention…

He is a leprechaun, actually, and he is bringing us all bowls of Lucky Charms!

now *this* is why I was pleased, relieved and all things joyful that PJ didn’t put him in the movie
although he probably would have hired John Rhys Davies to play him too and then Gimli would have looked like
Tom Bombadil who would in turn have sounded like Treebeard who would have had Gimli’s nose…
Not big on this “version” of him. Something isn’t right with the way they do movement…
I like Tom, infact I printed out this picture of him and taped it to the front of my math book

I don’t like this picture at all, but as a character, I liked Tom. He’s really more of a serious character
than some people think from silly pictures like this. He just seems so silly because he’s not worried about
things that are happening outside the borders of his forest.
Perfect for good ol Tom, handle difficult situations but did it in a jolly way..
He bothers me … and scares me beyond all belief…and i cant stand the obnoxious songs

understand why it just wouldn’t have worked well, and why they had to leave it out.

im glad he wasnt in the movie, it would be awesome, but i dont think they could get him really right and it
would ruin it for me, and i imagine him as middle earths hope, the power of the valar on middle earth,
showing them they have hope, but that the valar will only go so far as to help them- “toms country ends here,
he will not pass the borders, tom has his house to mind, and goldberry is waiting”. now i have his nonsense in
my head, floating around
