Gimli and Legolas were the best of friends
through most of their fellowship days
From different countries in Middle-earth
But active in the fellowship.
But before Gimli went out to Rivendell for a secret meeting
Gimli looked all around the circle and all he found was an elf.

Well it wasn’t two weeks after the nine all joined that
Orcs started commin’ around.
Gimli got a better axe and wore thick armor
And a beard to cover a bruise
Well he finally got the nerve to ask for the mines
“It would be all downhill from there”
But Gimli walked in and Orcs were in order
And it was uphill from there.

Right away Legolas flew all his arrows
And hit some Orcs in the eye.
He held Gimli’s hand and they worked out a plan
And it didn’t take them long to decide

That Orcs had to die
Goodbye Orcs
That metal sword
Thought it wouldn’t work
Orcs, you gonna bleed?
Why don’t you lay down and sleep
Orcs ain’t it dark?
Jammed up under rocks, Orcs.

Then Aragorn came by to bring the Orcs in.
He searched the world high and low
Then he tipped crown and said ‘thank you Leggie if you hear from them let us know’

Well the weeks went by and
Spring turned to summer
And summer faded into fall
And it turns out the Orcs were a missing army
That nobody missed at all.

So Gimli went back to his home land
And Leggie at Grey Havens
But he came back on land and they started a band
Called “Don’t Loose Sleep at Night” Who sang

Those Orcs had to die
Goodbye Orcs
We need a break
Let’s go out to the lake Orcs
We’ll parctice punch
And stuff you with some armor Orcs
Well is that all right?
Good let’s go for a ride
