The autumn full moon is shining bright!
All of you come to this year’s Council ball!
Elves, Men, and Dwarves meet once a year!
At a secret Council where we all convine!
And this year’s Council leader will soon appear!
And make what is known as the Fellowship Choice!
When Elrond Half-Elven, just before dawn,
Through a silence you feel you could cut with a knife
Chooses the ones who will go on a quest
To save Middle-Earth from a horrendous life
For waiting out there is a dangerous road
With perils the Fellowship only will see
