A storyteller is telling a story to a group of young Hobbits

Storyteller: You ought to know Merry and Pippin, two rightly historical Hobbits.

You young Hobbits here know from stories you’re told
Of Merry and Pippin, the Hobbits so bold!

Young Hobbits:
And we all say:
Oh well I never were there ever Hobbits so clever as the adventurous Merry and Pippin.
Oh well I never were there ever Hobbits so clever as the adventurous Merry and Pippin.

Storyteller:
Their antics are a sight to see
They can make a wizard go pale
They can smoke a whole room of Pipeweed
They can drink a whole lake full of ale
They can move a whole forest of trees
To destroy a fortress of stone
When you hear them yell, it sounds really fell
And they scare orcs the bone
They can turn anything to a joke
And steal any scene that they’re in
They can mess up or act like a dope
But we’ll forgive them and love them again
Those two litttle Hobbits with such wit and charm
We’d all be upset if they came to harm

Young Hobbits:
And we all say:
Oh well I never were there ever Hobbits so clever as the adventurous Merry and Pippin.

Storyteller:
Their manners aren’t always the best
And they have been called immature
But when their friends are in need
Their courage coulden’t be purer
They would ride to war in a day
And return home for a feast
And we’ve all heard and occcasional word
Of their tales of their deeds in the East
Of their many marvelous tales
The one we beg them to tell
Is of the battle they fought in Gondor
Where it’s said many men and orcs fell
But not our brave Hobbis, thank Valor they’re still here
For you know if they weren’t we’d all be in tears
And we all say:
